Christian Tudorache has gained international recognition for his work on how stressors may affect behavioral responses. By using zebrafish as main experimental model, he discovered that such behavioral responses strikingly differ according to personality traits in different animals, what is now called “coping styles“. For that purpose, he developed several original behavioral and biochemical tests, which could be applied to many other species. More recently, he also observed, that the different personality traits exhibit differences in the regulation of their circadian rhythms, including wake-sleep rhythm. The presentation will focus on this notion of “coping styles“ and its relationships with the biological clocks.
