UMS TEFOR Paris-Saclay
UMS TEFOR Paris-Saclay CNRS UMS2010 / INRA UMS1451 (UMS TPS), a platform at the heart of the TEFOR infrastructure, serves researchers to conduct genome editing and phenotyping programs, particularly at early stages and in the adult brain of zebrafish.

  • Genome editing : UMS TPS works with the TACGENE platform (U1154-UMR7196 CNRS/INSERM/MNHN) on "base editing" : targeted and fine editing of the genome on a single basis.
  • Phenotyping : UMS TPS conducts programs to optimize microscopy tools and methodologies, and develops collections of optimal 3D image and navigation tools in these databases.

In order to offer a complete and innovative range of services, UMS TPS coordinates a network of expert centres : a consortium of laboratories and partner platforms whose complementary activities best meet the needs of the scientific community. The management of projects carried out for third party users is offered via a single point of contact, ensuring simplified monitoring of the user project, with as few administrative procedures as possible.

TEFOR infrastructure

The TEFOR infrastructure supports research on two alternative model species : zebrafish and drosophila.
TEFOR is a distributed infrastructure composed of ten partners : platforms and laboratories have partnered to provide innovative services in the fields of genome publishing, transgenesis, mutagenesis, and imaging phenotyping

It is funded by a “Grand Emprunt Investissements d’Avenir” ANR grant.

The major aims of the TEFOR infrastructure are :

• to provide transgenesis, mutagenesis, and phenotyping services and collaborative research projects in drosophila and zebrafish,
• to generate in both species new collections of transgenic lines,
• to develop technology projects in the areas of genome rewriting, viewing of 3D images and database archiving.
