The infrastructure supports research on two alternative model species :
zebrafish and drosophila.
TEFOR (CNRS UMS2010 / INRA UMS1451) is a distributed infrastructure composed of eleven partners. It is funded by a “Grand Emprunt Investissements d’Avenir” ANR grant.
We are looking for research program collaborators on genome editing in three species rat (TRANSGENESIS NANTES), zebrafish (AMAGEN) and drosophila (FLY ACILITY).


The major aims of the TEFOR infrastructure are :
- to provide transgenesis, mutagenesis, and phenotyping services and collaborative research projects in drosophila and zebrafish.
- to generate in both species new collections of transgenic lines.
- to develop technology projects in the areas of genome rewriting, viewing of 3D images and database archiving.


TALE-nuclesases (Transcription Activator Like Effector nucleases) and Cas9 endonucleases are at the basis of novel strategies for genome editing. They have been shown to work in a wide variety of model and non model organisms.
